The cost of the event is $10.00 per person; $15.00 per couple, and $20.00 for a family. The cost includes dinner and entertainment.

We are coming together to celebrate how Bilha, Kinley, and Ivyn lived their lives and to help the 4-year-old live a life her mother, brother, and sister would want for her.

Kinley, a 12-year-old honor roll student at Sunrise Park Middle School in White Bear Lake, possessed an insight and maturity beyond his years. He was proud to be from Kenya, to be African, to speak two languages, and to be a part of two cultures.

Kinley was kind. He was caring, trustworthy, and warm hearted. He was always open to making new friends. Kinley thought people of all types and races were equal. He thought of the world as one.

Kinley had a passion for music! He loved to listen to TobyMac because the music was about every day problems. Kinley believed that music could solve life problems because it spoke to all of us.

One thing that really stood out about Kinley is that he never forgot to mention his faith. He would often tell the kids at school to remember to keep god in their lives.

Ivyn had many, many friends. She was a little bit shy, and was kind, gentle, and warm hearted. Her smile lit up the world. Her young friends remember her being nice to everyone, putting a smile on people’s faces, loving nature, and making people feel good.

Ivyn had a strong, beautiful voice and loved to sing and dance. She and her classmates laughed as they danced the Polar Bear Stomp. Ivyn was immensely proud of her big brother, Kinley. She beamed when she talked about how he helped her with her homework and taught her how to solve hard math problems. Ivyn smiled her gorgeous smile the day she brought to school a book Kinley had made, describing how he had drawn each picture.

To the people who knew Bilha Omare, the reason why her children were extraordinary was obvious—she set the example. Bilha loved her children more than anything in the world. An amazing expression of pride and happiness graced her face when she watched her children. She was a proud, happy mother; the kind who would do anything for her kids. As their family physician, Dr. Jim Letts, writes, “If I had a magic prescription pad, the first thing I would do is prescribe that every child in this world have a mother like Bilha.” He called her an angel.
